As Executive Director, Ted Pierce is the Chief Executive Officer responsible for carrying out SLA policies and programs, and overseeing financial operations. Ted reports to the Chairman and works directly with the 13-member Executive Committee and the California Department of Insurance in addition to handling external relations with legislators and insurance industry trade associations. Ted's other association responsibilities include coordination of the SLA strategic plan and staff liaison to SLA functional committees. Ted earned a bachelor of arts degree from New England College and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University.
